We are very appreciative of our volunteers and corporate sponsors- they are central to the success of our program.

There are so many ways you can get involved. We provide monthly volunteer opportunities to individuals and corporations, the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Corporate/ Group Volunteer Project Opportunities

I. FOUR COTTAGES

A. Inside

• Replace carpet
• Extend bottom cabinets in kitchen
• Replace countertops in kitchen
• Install 3rd sink in kitchen area
• Replace flooring in kitchen/ dining room
• Remove wall tiles above tubs in all bathrooms; replace with marble sheets
• Refinish tubs if necessary
• Replace flooring in bathroom and adjoining area with linoleum
• Replace bathroom sinks with new sinks/vanities
• Remove popcorn ceilings where needed; smooth the ceiling
• Upgrade AC/heating units where necessary
• Replace aluminum windows with vinyl windows
• Replace lighting

B. Outside

• Replace gutters/fascia where needed
• Replace roofs where needed
• Paint outside
• Replace/repair ventilation in attics Replace vinyl sections with hardy plank or stone

II. HIGHWAY 138 House

• New carpet throughout house
• Paint interior of house
• Paint exterior of house, if needed
• Refinish cabinets in kitchen
• Replace built-in appliances
• Repair/waterproof deck area
• Other upgrades may be identified at a later date

III. EDUCATION BUILDING

• Replace flooring in kitchen
• Replace carpeting throughout the house
• Build bookshelves in middle section
• Build or purchase work tables
• Build computer cubicles
• Replace front and back doors
• Replace flooring in bathrooms
• Strip carpet on front porch and paint or tile porch area
• Replace roof
• Paint foundation (or stone around bottom of building)
• Paint fascia boards
• Replace back deck
• Build shed in back for bikes and outdoor equipment
• Privacy fence along east side of Education Building

IV. MAINTENANCE BUILDINGS

• Rehab office and bathroom areas
• Paint both buildings
• Install privacy fence extending along east side of both buildings

V. BALL FIELD

• New roof on scorekeeper box
• Level area around fence/dugouts
• New concession stand

VI. SAIL 2 Dormitory

• Replace gutters
• Replace and paint fascia
• Replace deck area
• Paint exterior
• Replace bathroom and kitchen flooring
• Replace carpet
• Replace roof
• Stone around foundation area

VII. GYM

• Replace flat roof with pitched/shingled roof
• Replace wooden shingles with matching shingles
• Repaint outside gym
• Repaint interior of gym
• Replace flooring

VIII. SAIL I Dormitory /PANTRY/RECREATION ROOM

• Replace windows with vinyl windows
• Replace roof
• Replace gutters
• Replace carpet downstairs (subfloor probably also needs replacement)
• Remove bath/vanity downstairs
• Replace vanity
• Replace floor in apartment kitchen
• Repaint fascia
• Paint interior of needed
• Repair ceiling in recreation room area

IX. SWIMMING POOL

• Refinish interior of pool (liner)
• Replace current deck area

X. LITTLE BUCKHEAD

• Replace gutters
• Repair fascia
• Install vinyl windows
• Paint interior

XI. ADMINISTRATION BUILDING

• Replace fascia
• Put gutter guards on gutters
• Paint foundation
• Upgrade three bathrooms (cabinets, walls, floors)
• Replace carpet throughout
• Repair damage to front door woodwork
• Replace front and back doors

XII. HOUSE #1

• Raise pitch on front porch roof
• Repair front porch area
• Glass in rear porch
• Replace gutters
• Replace fascia
• Repair flooring damage
• Replace vinyl flooring in kitchen/bathrooms
• Replace carpet throughout
• Paint interior

XIII. HOUSE #2

• Replace roof
• Replace gutters
• Replace fascia
• Paint exterior
• Paint interior if needed
• Replace kitchen floor
• Replace dining room floor
• Replace floors in bathrooms
