WOW (Women of the Wild), is looking for a new adventure. Women of the Wild is a group of girls from Elks Aidmore who love the outdoors. Last year they camped on the platforms on the Okeefenokee National Swampland. It was the first canoe camping trip they ever made. They also went to Sapelo Island which is a barrier Island off the coast of Georgia. Before going off campus they camped at the Elks Honey Creek Campground which is also open to the public. For the first time the campground features sleeping cabins with 2 bunkbeds in each, these are available now for $20 per night. Just call 770-761-7800 to make a reservation. We advertise as the only campground where Pizza Hut delivers if the hot dogs don't.

The Garden Club
The Garden Club has started with the help of Liz McGuinness and Kay Wilson both from the Evergreen Garden Club in Rockdale County. The garden features a row for each girl where they can plant whatever they like. It also has a herb garden, meditation area, and a flower garden. This is the third year that Liz and Kay have donated their time.

New Friends Library
New Friends Library is always happy to accept donations of books suitable for adolescent girls. If you would like more information on the library or information how you can become an active participant in this program, please call us at 770-483-3535.
