Elks Aidmore Produces a Remarkable Benefit Music Festival and Gives Back to the Community Two Weekends in a Row with an Open House and Youth Fishing Tournament.

Elks Aidmore is winding down from consecutive weekends of giving back to the community, starting with the April 28, Elks Aidmore benefit Music Festival; and two free events— April 29, Open House and the May 5, Kids Katch Fishing Tournament.

The April 28 inaugural Elks Aidmore Music Festival, hosted by Malachi Blaque, Heidi Fuller and DXB exceeded its primary goal of creating awareness for foster care programs while providing 1,500 plus supporters with a healthy menu of live blues and jazz.

Elks Aidmore to host benefit music festival April 28, 2012 for children that are in foster care

CONYERS, GA – February 21, 2012 – Elks Aidmore is pleased to announce the inaugural Elks Aidmore Music Festival, a Blues and Jazz Music Festival that will be held Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, GA.  The music festival will serve as a fundraising event for Elks Aidmore while raising awareness of the challenges and opportunities of children that are in foster care.

“We believe that an informed public is an empowered community.  While we have put together a music festival that will feature all live music and can rival any in Atlanta, its primary purpose is to bring awareness to the plight of children that are in foster care,” said Elks Aidmore’s CEO, Abe Wilkinson.

Elks Aidmore's Therapeutic Foster Care Contract Approved

Conyers, GA --- (Feb. 3 2012) --- Elks Aidmore, announced that its contract with the Georgia Department of Human Services to provide Therapeutic Foster Care is finalized.  The agency will begin immediately to recruit and train families to provide therapeutic foster care.  The new services will be initially provided in the Conyers, Covington and Athens triangle, with an expansion into the Valdosta area in late spring. “This is an exciting time for Elks Aidmore and we are grateful that the Georgia Department of Human Services has allowed us to expand our services to fill an unmet need. Since 2007, half of Georgia’s providers have closed their doors and we arefully committed to providing services and filling some of the voids created by the closures,” said Elks Aidmore’s CEO Abe Wilkinson.
