Elks Aidmore's Receives $5,000 Grant
Conyers, GA- Elks Aidmore, Inc. received a $5,000 grant from the Mary Allen Lindsey Branan Foundation to support capital improvement projects on Elks Aidmore’s campus. “We are in the early stages of capital improvements on our campus and very appreciative of the support of the Mary Allen Lindsey Branan Foundation. Grant funding will be used to assist with current projects,” said CEO Abe Wilkinson.

Conyers, GA- Georgia Cycle Cross Series has partnered again this year with Elks Aidmore, Inc. to raise funds to support Elks Aidmore ’s programs for families and children that are in foster care. “We are delighted to host the 5th race in the Georgia Cycle Cross series on our campus. In addition to the fundraising, we are most appreciative of the opportunity to spread our message of hope for children that are in foster care,” said Abe Wilkinson, CEO Elks Aidmore.

Conyers, GA- BB & T has partnered with Elks Aidmore, Inc. to beautify the Elks Aidmore’s campus. BB & T volunteers spent Saturday working in a variety of outdoor beautification projects. The volunteer project was part of BB&T’s third annual Lighthouse Project. BB &T employees selected Elks Aidmore, in an effort, to make a positive impact on the lives of people in need. “I hope our efforts encourage others in the community to volunteer their time and support organizations such as Elks Aidmore,” said Michael C. Hilleboe, City Executive.

Conyers, GA-. On September 9, Elks Aidmore, Inc. and the Georgia Elks hosted 28 teams at The Creek at Hard Labor Golf Course at its 13 annual Golf Fore Kids Charity Golf Tournament.
Georgia Elks and Elks Aidmore’s sponsors played 18 rounds of golf in ideal weather conditions. “This year continues to be one of many blessings as we expand our programs to meet an unmet need in Georgia, we are humbled daily by the unyielding support of the local community, Georgia Elks and our many sponsors,” said Abe Wilkinson, CEO, Elks Aidmore, Inc.
Proceeds from the golf tournament will support Elks Aidmore’s current and expanded programs.
Conyers, GA-. On May 14, Elks Aidmore, Inc. in partnership with The Georgia Department of Natural Resources hosted over 150 participants at its 5th Annual Kids Katch Fishing Contest.
The Kids Katch Fishing Contest focus is to introduce the public to the joy of fishing and to promote a better understanding of the natural environment. “Each participant was allowed to take home 25 fish and the lake was fully stocked so most participants caught an abundance of fish,” said Abe Wilkinson, CEO, Elks Aidmore, Inc.

Conyers, GA- Keller Williams Realty has partnered with Elks Aidmore, Inc. again this year to paint the Elks Aidmore campus RED. Keller Williams associates spent the day at Elks Aidmore doing a variety of projects as part of the company’s RED Day community service initiative in the US and Canada, involving more than 40,000 associates.
In addition to RED Day, Keller Williams Realty associates volunteer at Elks Aidmore campus throughout the year. “We are very appreciative of their support and stewardship of our mission. On April 16, Elks Aidmore, Inc. in partnership with HandsOn Atlanta will host 100 youth on our campus in Celebration of Global Youth Day of Service. We have identified 11 volunteer projects for the youth to complete. In addition to our youth projects, youth from around the world in unison will take part in the day of service.

Elks Aidmore, Inc. has received $3,000 in assistance from Snapping Shoals EMC’s Operation Round Up program to support the expansion of its programs for at-risks teenagers and young adults.
Elks Aidmore is in the process of expanding its services to meet the increased need generated in part, by the country’s economic recession and is appreciative of the capacity enhancement grant provided by the Snapping Shoals Electric Trust, Inc.
“We are humbled by the historic support that Snapping Shoals EMC’s Operation Round Up program has provided to our local community and thankful for their support of our mission and goal to save Georgia’s most at-risk children. Our goal is to help children in foster care realize their potential of becoming healthy contributing adults and consequently reduce the homeless cycle among former children in foster care- three in every ten become homeless adults ,” said Abe Wilkinson, CEO of Elks Aidmore, Inc.

Elks Aidmore looks for a makeover
Local agency to offer more programs: Children and staff at Elks Aidmore celebrated the makeover of the residence center’s recreation room with a Christmas party last week. The party also marks a larger change as the 33-year-old institution looks to refocus its mission in the coming year.
